Tapping Fingers

I asked my client to notice how he tapped his fingers while we spoke.

He stopped, closed his eyes, and took several deep breaths.

"If I sit still, the first thought that comes to me is I am not safe," he said.

The awareness can be profound by noticing and spending even a few moments of stillness with regular habits.

Somatic work allows these insights to be recognized, and now we can work on not feeling safe.
