Listen to Your Intuition

With all the advice on how to help you find happiness or figure out who you are, the thing we all ignore is our intuition.

Our gut instincts the place between your navel and sternum that tells you that you are heading in the wrong direction is often overrun.

More people come to me and say they are confused than ever. When most of our therapy consists of trying to correct ourselves in our minds our ability to find answers is lost.

The time a person spends in quiet and listening to the still small voice in their gut or heart, the more decluttered their thoughts become.

Disregarding our intuition is toxic. The multiple times when we moved against our highest good, the more stress we put in our bodies in the forms of tension, pain, illness, and disease.

I have worked with people who knew they were in the wrong job, wrong marriage, or wrong friend group, but they kept going even when their bodies were telling them in so many ways to leave.

When those clients got to my office, they suffered from high blood pressure, weight gain, hives, anxiety, food allergies, chronic pain, and a myriad of other medical issues.

All of the problems they had decreased or fell away, the more Somatic Psychotherapy they did.

And why?

Not because I am the most exceptional therapist in the world, but because with the Somatic work, they learned to listen to themselves.

In this process, they slowly overrode their negative beliefs about their ability to manage choice, trauma, relationship, and safety.

We all have this magical gut instinct, and when we allow it to speak, our preferences, emotional patterning, and lives can shift towards something authentic and ultimately to our truth.

The next time you feel the pang of tension in your belly, reacting to a choice, you are making take a breath or ten and listen.

Come in for a free Somatic Therapy consultation and see how you already know what to do.
