What are your Post Pandemic Habits
Life feels surreal right now. There is ambient tension everywhere.
Our worlds have shifted; we no longer have to rush from work to appointments, to schools, to practice, to home. Most of our previous choices included splitting up time with our spouses to get one kid from one sport and another to another place. The business of our lives consumed us, and if we spent thirty minutes on FB a day, we figured we had connected in a real way with others.
This pandemic can help us to recognize what is truly important.
Figure out the new habits that you will take with you into the post-pandemic world.
Here is my partial list:
Make Takeout Tuesday from local restaurants a thing.
Choose news inputs carefully.
Calling people on the phone instead of texting.
More appreciation for people in jobs who we did not recognize as "essential" before but are now literally keeping us from descending into complete madness.
Putting actual dates on the calendar to meet with friends instead of vaguely saying someday.
Making a connection if people I care about cannot reach outside of their home tribe, then I will.
A weirdness about touching surfaces and shaking hands.
A clearer understanding of the myriad of ways people handle stress and finding grace for that. (I mean you toilet paper hoarders)
