Drop Your False Self

I cannot tell you the number of times I have people walk into my office and desire real change. When they realize that to change themselves requires touching in on places they have kept pushed down, they want out.

It is so much easier to tell ourselves that the way we are is not that bad, and our lives are going well enough. It is also more satisfying to our ego to sit and tell our story to someone and receive validation from a therapist.

We can all survive with the current wiring of our neural pathways. Our lack of self-awareness and disinterest in who we are inside as well as outside is how eighty percent of the population lives maybe even more.

Our culture encourages and celebrates un-self-awareness. We have force-fed continuously through advertising, horrible reality shows, and the celebration of celebrity to reach for things that have no meaning.

If we keep our focus on the outside, we can attain some of the things we believe are important. We can have a nice haircut, trim physique, fancy shoes, higher education, large house; these are attainable to some degree.

What is not considered valuable or achievable for those unwilling to reach for it is self-knowledge. The deep sense of self-worth and knowledge that we can only meet through sitting in stillness.

To see who we are in our entirety and reach closer to the Divine union that holds everything and everyone as beloved is what creates genuine self-love. Without spending time doing this, we will never know who we are and will spend our lives feeding our false self and all its lies.

Learn to tell the difference between your false self and who you are inside.

Search for the higher self and touch in on the beauty, struggle, love, gratitude, and pain that is all of us.

Lookup a mystic today either online through quotes or order a book and see how life is a dance between that which we sadly perceive as success and what your gifts genuinely are.

Come into my office and meet yourself in stillness to shed your ego and touch your core.
