Sharing Secrets in therapy

I have often been told that people share challenging events they have lived through with me for the first time.

I know therapists who would puff up at this and chalk it up to their expertise. My first reaction is that I am always sorry they carried whatever they shared as long as they did.

While what I do is very different from traditional therapy, the ability to share something that one has kept secret for years is always beneficial to the nervous system when done calmly and in a safe environment.

After the sharing, there is always relief, and it offers a chance for hope to bubble up because they are seen in their vulnerability and fragility and held safely.

Every human alive has something they are keeping silent about or hidden.

Possibly there is a behavior or something you experienced, and you survived, but now it is locked in a box.

Maybe a piece of your heart is tucked away, and you subconsciously choose to keep it from being awakened due to fear.

Perhaps you are carrying a deep shame for behaviors you exhibited as a younger adult.

You do not have to carry these burdens all alone.

Tools and techniques can allow you to tap into the dark hidden spaces and set them free to be felt safely and examined to heal from them.

Using Biodynamic Cranial Sacral techniques along with Somatic sensation work releasing and healing from these secrets is achievable.

I have had clients in their eighties who are unpacking wounds for the first time. It is never too late.

Consultations are free. In-person and virtual therapy are available.
