If Your Job is Stressful Do This
I do free consultations, and occasionally I meet with men who have little to no idea why their wives sent them to see me.
Tonight was that scenario.
At the end of our chat, he mentioned how I would make a good cop because I could read people well.
This comment got me thinking about people in police occupations and how they could benefit from my techniques to manage their nervous systems healthily.
I know the path of nervous systems, and I can explain it to anyone in a manner they will understand.
Once there is some knowledge about how our nervous systems works, especially during overwhelm or in chronically stressful situations, there are techniques to help.
The first step is gaining information about nervous systems.
The second step is awareness as to how your nervous system chooses to respond in duress.
It has three choices fight, flight, or freeze.
The third step is to recognize the available choices to you now that there is awareness of how you respond.
The fourth step is to act on the new choices and create healthier behavior patterns.
If you are in a job where you see, experience, or handle emotions that cause trauma or chronic stress, such as being a first responder or a cop, what I just laid out will help you manage your nervous system.
Come in and see for yourself. Learning these steps in detail will change your life.
